døssing trio at HUSET
døssing is a newly formed sibling trio consisting of Jon, Aske and Mathilde Døssing Bendixen. Musically, they move within instrumental jazz, which is greatly emphasized by a playful approach as well as an unmistakable chemistry in their compositions and expressions on stage. When you as a listener are introduced to døssing, it is clear that the trio comes from a background where music and the creative touch have been a deeply rooted part of their life’s. As children of the folktronica pioneers from Sorten Muld and with their upbringing in the community of Toustrup Mark in East Jutland, the trio have received music, community and co-creation from childhood.
døssing's musical universe invites the audience to sit back in the chair and let their thoughts flow, and at other times to loosen up on the dance floor. With keys, synthesizers and effect machines on trombone and vocals, døssing’s music is approaching the meeting between the electronic and the analogue, thus creating an atmospheric and dreamy universe that associates to David Lynch's Twin Peaks and Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel.

døssing er en nydannet søskendetrio bestående af Jon, Aske og Mathilde Døssing Bendixen. Musikalsk bevæger de sig indenfor instrumental jazz, der i høj grad er betonet af en legesyg tilgang samt en umiskendelig kemi i deres kompositioner og udtryk på scenen. Når man som lytter introduceres til døssing, fremgår det tydeligt, at trioen kommer med en baggrund, hvor musikken og det kreative islæt har været en dybt forankret del af livet. Som børn af folktronica-pionererne fra Sorten Muld og med deres barndom i bofællesskabet Toustrup Mark i Østjylland, kan trioen siges at have fået musik, fællesskab og samskabelse ind fra barnsben.
døssing musikalske univers inviterer publikum til at læne sig tilbage i stolen og lade tankerne flyde, og andre gange til at slå sig løs på dansegulvet. Med keys, synthesizers og effektmaskiner på basun og vokal leger døssing med mødet mellem det elektroniske og analoge og skaber på den måde et stemningsfyldt og drømmende univers, der henleder tankerne på David Lynch’s Twin Peaks og Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel.
