Geoffrey Keezer Trio feat. Gillian Margot

“Premium” is Montmartre’s series of rare intimate concerts with jazz giants that you cannot normally meet on small intimate stages. These concerts are priced above the normal tickets to cover costs and travel for these heavy-weights.

American pianist Geoffrey Keezer arrives in Montmartre with great honors in his luggage. At 18 he already played piano with drummer-legend Art Blakey – and that requires skills to the max! Keezer received many GRAMMY-nominations, he composed music to films and tv-series, and is a well-respected musician back home in the US. We will meet Geoffrey Keezer with his own group, featuring young singer Gillian Margot, whose voice and charisma opens doors to a brilliant career in jazz, pop and/or musical. Fusion/rock-legend Sting says the following about Geoffrey Keezer: “In the universe of piano players that I have been ex-posed to over the years, Geoffrey has proved himself to be not only a superb technician and improviser, but also above and beyond this, a composer and conceptualist who can maintain the overall line and the DNA of the song in everything he plays. A musician’s musician.”

Selveste Sting udtaler bl.a. dette om Geoffrey Keezer: “In the universe of piano players that I have been ex-posed to over the years, Geoffrey has proved himself to be not only a superb technician and improviser, but also above and beyond this, a composer and conceptualist who can maintain the overall line and the DNA of the song in everything he plays. A musician’s musician.”
