MILTON PÅ SVENSKA er et nyt Svensk-Brasiliansk-Dansk musikalsk projekt skabt af den svenske sangerinde, Josefine Cronholm og den danske pianist, Steen Rasmussen.
I mange år har de to ofte talt om at dykke ned i den Brasilianske sanger, Milton Nascimento ́s fantastiske musikunivers. Især musikken fra 1970 ́erne som opstod ud-af det brasilianske musikerkollektiv ”Clube da Esquina”. Kollektivet udgav to albums, som siden har været at finde blandt musikhistoriens store mesterværker. Wayne Shorter udgav i 1976 albumet ”Native dancer” som også var med til at sætte Milton Nascimento ́s musik på verdenskortet.
I april 2022 drog orkestret på koncertturne i Danmark, og efterfølgende indspillede de et album som netop er udkommet på Stunt Records. Til koncerten skal vi opleve musikken fra det ny- indspillede projekt LIVE.
Musikken har i den grad fået nyt liv i de nyfortolkede versioner, hvor publikum, ikke mindst i kraft af de svenske tekstfortolkninger, inviteres indenfor i forunderlige og fortryllende fortællinger om livet, melankolien, kærligheden, udlængslen.
Vi skal lytte til Brasiliansk musik som i denne udgave har fået et nordisk twist.
Orkestret består af de fremmeste musik-kunstnere fra Sverige og Danmark. Alle med en unik forståelse for, og indlevelse i denne smukke musik. Desuden medvirker, fra Sâo Paulo i Brasilien, mestertrommeslageren CELSO de ALMEIDA, som allerede på orkesterets forrige turné blæste alle omkuld med sit smukke og autentiske trommespil.

MILTON PÅ SWENSKA is a new Swedish-Brazilian-Danish musical project created by the Swedish singer, Josefine Cronholm and the Danish pianist, Steen Rasmussen.
For many years, the two have often talked about diving into the Brazilian singer, Milton Nascimento's fantastic musical universe. Especially the music from the 1970s which arose out of the Brazilian musician collective "Clube da Esquina". The collective released two albums, which have since been found among the great masterpieces of music history. Wayne Shorter released the album "Native dancer" in 1976, which also helped put Milton Nascimento's music on the world map.In April 2022, the orchestra went on a concert tour in Denmark, and subsequently they recorded an album which has just been released on Stunt Records.
For the concert, we will experience the music from the newly recorded project LIVE.
To that extent, the music has been given new life in the newly interpreted versions, where the audience, not least thanks to the Swedish text interpretations, is invited inside wonderful and enchanting stories about life, melancholy, love, longing. We will listen to Brazilian music, which in this edition has been given a Nordic twist.
The orchestra consists of the foremost musical artists from Sweden and Denmark. All with a unique understanding of and empathy for this beautiful music. Also participating, from Sâo Paulo in Brazil, is the master drummer CELSO de ALMEIDA, who already on the orchestra's previous tour blew everyone away with his beautiful and authentic drumming.
