Årets traditionsrige julekoncert med hele Danmarks store jazz-diva
Når julestemningen sænker sig over København i december, er der især én elsket musikalsk tradition, som rigtig mange ser frem til: Cæcilie Norbys årlige julekoncert på Jazzhus Montmartre.
Cæcilie Norbys julekoncerter samler publikum til en fejring af en lang række julemelodier, hvor nærvær og improvisation er i højsædet – skabt af fire topmusikere, der hver især hører til blandt Europas absolutte elite.
Cæcilie Norby er internationalt anerkendt for sin store personlige stemme og sit kunstneriske mod. Som den første skandinaviske artist fik hun pladekontrakt med det legendariske Blue Note Records, hvor fire roste solo-albums var med til at cementere hendes internationale gennembrud.
Hun har siden optrådt på verdens førende jazzscener og samarbejdet med en lang række af genrens største navne, fra NHØP, Curtis Stigers, Ray Brown, Dianne Reeves, Kurt Elling og John Scofield til talrige big bands.
For sit kunstneriske virke og sin kompromisløse musikalske integritet har hun – som den eneste jazzmusiker – modtaget IFPI's DMA Ærespris.
Ved hendes side til Montmartres julekoncerter står tre musikere i verdensklasse:
🎸 Ulf Wakenius – den legendariske svenske guitarist, kendt fra Oscar Peterson Quartet og et utal af internationale samarbejder.
🎻 Lars Danielsson – en af Europas mest toneangivende bassister, cellister og komponister.
🥁 Magnus Öström – den prisbelønnede trommeslager fra Esbjörn Svenssons banebrydende trio e.s.t., hvis indflydelse på moderne europæisk jazz stadig mærkes verden over.
Sammen skaber de fire en koncertoplevelse på Montmartre, hvor virtuositet, spontanitet og spilleglæde går hånd i hånd. When the Christmas spirit descends on Copenhagen in December, there is one beloved musical tradition in particular that many look forward to: Cæcilie Norby's annual Christmas concert at Jazzhus Montmartre.
Cæcilie Norby's Christmas concerts bring together the audience for a celebration of a wide range of Christmas melodies, where presence and improvisation are paramount – created by four top musicians, each of whom is among Europe's absolute elite.
Cæcilie Norby is internationally recognized for her great personal voice and her artistic courage. As the first Scandinavian artist, she received a recording contract with the legendary Blue Note Records, where four acclaimed solo albums helped cement her international breakthrough.
She has since performed on the world's leading jazz stages and collaborated with a wide range of the genre's biggest names, from NHØP, Curtis Stigers, Ray Brown, Dianne Reeves, Kurt Elling and John Scofield to numerous big bands.
For her artistic work and uncompromising musical integrity, she has – as the only jazz musician – received IFPI's DMA Honorary Award.
By her side at Montmartre's Christmas concerts are three world-class musicians:

🎻 Lars Danielsson – one of Europe's most influential bassists, cellists and composers.
