At the forefront of this tribute to Oscar Peterson is the Romanian-born piano virtuoso Marian Petrescu. He started out as a classical prodigy, but fell in love with jazz and has since worked his way into the global elite. Petrescu is known, among other things, for his collaborations with the great jazz guitarist Andreas Öberg and the iconic drummer Lewis Nash. In 2010, he won a Grammy Award for his contribution to the Resonance Big Band project.
