Hvilken slags jazz spiller de?
Ida Duelund er en af de mest spændende og genrebrydende musikere på den danske scene i øjeblikket. Som bassist, komponist og sanger bevæger hun sig frit mellem frit mellem generationer, genrer og fællesskaber i både den alternative og den etablerede danske musikscene.
Duelunds sange og kompositioner skaber en blid moderne surrealisme, hvor sprog og ord opløses til fantasi og leg. Med en ubekymret affejning af genre og trends bevæger hun sig frit og ufortrødent gennem musikhistorien, som om hun blander en pose bland selv slik.

Hun debuterede som soloartist sidste år med sit album, Sibo, og modtog for dette to Danish Music Awards (årets jazzkomponist og årets single). Hun har arbejdet med artister som Baby In Vain, Jada, ML Buch, Barbro, og Marilyn Mazur, og er medstifter af den eksperimenterende stryger-duo Lueenas.
Nu er hun tilbage på Montmartre efter udsolgte huse sidst med sin sekstet, der indtil videre må forbliver et hemmeligt hold. Sammen vil de fortolke hendes seneste værker i en musikalsk collage, hvor orkestrets improvisationer væves ind og ud mellem Duelunds kompositioner og sange.

What kind of jazz do they play?
Ida Duelund is one of the most exciting and genre-breaking musicians on the Danish scene at the moment. As a bassist, composer and singer, she moves freely between generations, genres and communities in both the alternative and established Danish music scenes.
Duelund's songs and compositions create a gentle modern surrealism, where language and words dissolve into fantasy and play. With a carefree sweep of genre and trends, she moves freely and unwaveringly through music history, as if she were mixing a bag of mixed sweets herself.
What should I know about them?
She debuted as a solo artist last year with her album, Sibo, and received two Danish Music Awards for this (jazz composer of the year and single of the year). She has worked with artists such as Baby In Vain, Jada, ML Buch, Barbro, and Marilyn Mazur, and is co-founder of the experimental string duo Lueenas.
Now she is back at Montmartre after selling out houses last time with her sextet. Together they will interpret her latest works in a musical collage, where the orchestra's improvisations are woven in and out between Duelund's compositions and songs.
