Ida Duelund Sekstet

Tickets

Line-up

Ida Duelund: Bass, vocal, piano
Nils Gröndahl: Violin
Anne Andersson: Trumpet
Oilly Wallace: Sax, flute
Johannes Wamberg: Guitar
Kresten Osgood: Drums, piano

🇬🇧 ENGLISH:

Ida Duelund plays bass, piano and sings and has a critically acclaimed debut album behind her, “Sibo”.

She is a newcomer to the Danish music scene, but has already worked with names such as Marilyn Mazur, Jada, Hess is More, Pia Raug and Jomi Massage, just to name a few.

In addition, she is co-founder of the experimental string duo Lueenas, and was nominated for a steppe wolf in 2022, as well as recipient of the Tivoli Jazz Prize in 2023 for her musical work.

Now she is performing in Montmartre with her sextet, which includes notable names such as Oilly Wallace on saxophone and flute, Johannes Wamberg on guitar, Kresten Osgood on drums and piano, Nils Gröndahl on violin and Anne Andersson on trumpet.

As a musician and composer, they move freely between the experimental scene, pure pop, rock and established jazz.

Her album “Sibo” is a modern Dadaist musical work that draws on Broadway jazz standards, choral music from the Middle Ages by Hildegard Von Bingen, and modern classical composition and improvisational music. A work that freely and unwaveringly jumps between different times, places, and styles.
