Danmarks internationalt kendte diva Sinne Eeg bringer denne aften den amerikanske jazzpianist Josh Nelson til København og Montmartres scene. Disse to topkunstnere er noget af det mest elegante, der findes indenfor vokal og flygeljazz. De har turneret regelmæssigt, siden de to mødte hinanden i Hollywood for nogle år siden og begejstrer overalt, hvor de kommer frem.
Hvad skal jeg vide om dem?
Sinne Eeg har over de seneste år skabt sig et stort navn fra Japan over Kina til USA. Som topnavn på festivaler, teatre og store events i hele verden, sætter hun Danmark på jazzens verdenskort. Oprindeligt fra Lemvig og uddannet på konservatoriet i Esbjerg holder Sinne Eeg dog allermest af spille intime koncerter i sit hjemland.
Pianisten Josh Nelson har høstet anerkendelse rundt i verden og har vundet Louis Armstrong-Prisen. Desuden var han bl.a. kapelmester for sangerinden Natalie Cole i de sidste syv år af hendes alt for korte liv.
Foruden Cole har han indspillet og arbejdet med jazzens største musikere som George Mraz, Jeff Hamilton, Michael Buble, Kurt Elling, Benny Golson og John Clayton. Han er især kendt i USA for et varmt og intuitivt klaverspil.

Duoen spiller en række af Sinnes egne numre, nogle danske klassikere og standarder fra The American Songbook. Denmark's internationally renowned diva Sinne Eeg brings the American jazz pianist Josh Nelson to Copenhagen and the Montmartre stage this evening. These two top artists are some of the most elegant in vocal and grand jazz. They have toured regularly since the two met in Hollywood a few years ago and excite everywhere they go.
What should I know about them?
Sinne Eeg has made a big name for herself in recent years from Japan to China to the USA. As a top name at festivals, theaters and major events all over the world, she is putting Denmark on the world map of jazz. Originally from Lemvig and educated at the Esbjerg Conservatory, Sinne Eeg loves playing intimate concerts in her home country the most.
Pianist Josh Nelson has garnered recognition around the world and has won the Louis Armstrong Prize. He was also, among other things, the bandleader for singer Natalie Cole in the last seven years of her all-too-short life.
In addition to Cole, he has recorded and worked with jazz's greatest musicians such as George Mraz, Jeff Hamilton, Michael Buble, Kurt Elling, Benny Golson and John Clayton. He is especially known in the US for his warm and intuitive piano playing.
