"Hun leverer en farverig blanding af sofistikerede harmoniske passager, fysiske grooves og poetiske ballader i eksplosive arrangementer," skrev The Guardian i deres begejstrede anmeldelse.

🇬🇧 ENGLISH:
Kathrine Winfeldt Sextet welcomes you to 3 days where they pay tribute to 3 of jazz's greatest legends.
Kathrine Windfeld has truly cemented herself as one of Denmark's foremost new jazz composers.
At the latest Danish Music Awards Jazz, she was in the spotlight twice. Partly as the winner of "Live Name of the Year" but also as a nominee for "Composer of the Year". In addition, abroad has long since opened its eyes to the artist from South Funen.
"She delivers a colorful mix of sophisticated harmonic passages, physical grooves and poetic ballads in explosive arrangements," wrote The Guardian in their enthusiastic review. Last year, her highly acclaimed album ALDEBARAN was released, which she recorded with her sextet.
On the third evening, the sextet pays tribute to the late American saxophonist Wayne Shorter. He was known for his innovative contributions to jazz, especially hard bop, modal jazz and jazz fusion. He was known for his characteristic, lyrical saxophone playing, his groundbreaking compositions and his deep commitment to Buddhist philosophy, which influenced his creative approach. In particular, his ability to break boundaries in music has inspired many, which is why Kathrine Windfeld has dedicated an evening to pay tribute to him.
As permanent members of her sextet are the young but extremely experienced gentlemen: Tomasz Dabrowski (PL) (trumpet), Hannes Bennich (SE) (alto and soprano sax), Marek Konarski (PL) (tenor sax), Johannes Vaht (SE) (bass) and our Danish Henrik Holst Hansen on drums.
