I Montmartres serie af intim-koncerter med jazz-giganter, afslutter vi Vinterjazz 2026 af med et brag, når vi præsenterer én koncert med tre af klodens bedste jazzmusikere i en sjælden og eksklusiv setting.
Trommeslager og komponist Brian Blade er anerkendt blandt kritikere som en af verdens bedste trommeslagere. Han evner et dybt musikalsk indblik og en teknisk finesse, der siden Tony Williams kun er set ganske få gange. Brian Blade er kendt som sideman til andre af jazzens største legender, som i fx Wayne Shorter Quartet og Chick Coreas trio. Men særligt som bandleder i "Brian Blade Fellowship".
Bassisten Scott Colley er 4x Grammy-vinder og kendt for sin kompromisløshed i sine kompositioner. Som elev af Charlie Haden slog han tidligt igennem på New-Yorks jazzscene og har spillet med alle nævneværdige som Andrew Hill, Michael Brecker, Jim Hall, Dizzy Gillespie og Clifford Jordan. Desuden har han en trio med Chris Potter and Bill Stewart.
Den Østrigske jazz-guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel har gennem flere årtier haft sin faste gang på Europas største jazz-label ECM, der bla. har huset giganter som Keith Jarret og Chick Corea. Rundet af klassisk tradition har han haft en fremadstormende jazz-karriere, flere år i New-York, der har ført til samarbejder med legender som Larry Grenadier, Brad Mehldau Peter Erskine, Paul Motian, Gary Peacock og Gary Burton.

In Montmartre's series of intimate concerts with jazz giants, we end Vinterjazz 2026 with a bang when we present one concert with three of the world's best jazz musicians in a rare and exclusive setting.
Drummer and composer Brian Blade is recognized among critics as one of the world's best drummers. He has a deep musical insight and a technical finesse that has only been seen very few times since Tony Williams. Brian Blade is known as a sideman for other of jazz's greatest legends, such as in the Wayne Shorter Quartet and Chick Corea's trio. But especially as a bandleader in the "Brian Blade Fellowship".
Bassist Scott Colley is a 4x Grammy winner and known for his uncompromising nature in his compositions. As a student of Charlie Haden, he made his mark on the New York jazz scene early on and has played with all the notables such as Andrew Hill, Michael Brecker, Jim Hall, Dizzy Gillespie and Clifford Jordan. He also has a trio with Chris Potter and Bill Stewart.
Austrian jazz guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel has been a regular on Europe's largest jazz label ECM for several decades, which has hosted giants such as Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea. Surrounded by classical tradition, he has had a promising jazz career, several years in New York, which has led to collaborations with legends such as Larry Grenadier, Brad Mehldau Peter Erskine, Paul Motian, Gary Peacock and Gary Burton.
