Cæcilie Norbys julekoncerter i Montmartre er en fast tradition gennem mange år. Igen i år er hun tilbage med sit stjernehold bestående af nogle af verdens bedste musikere.
Hun anses for at være en af de mest markante og skelsættende vokalister på den internationale scene og var i mange år udgivet på det anerkendte amerikanske pladeselskab Blue Note, ligesom hun har et stort publikum i Japan. Internationalt har hun optrådt med stjerner som Curtis Stigers, NHØP, Ray Brown, Al Foster, Peter Erskine, Billy Hart, Dianne Reeves, Michael Brecker, Kurt Elling og John Scofield samt talrige big bands.
Cæcilie Nordby fik for alvor sit gennembrud i midt 80' erne i jazz/rock gruppen Frontline og popgruppen OneTwo. Siden blev det med soul- og jazz musikken, hun har høstet berømmelse og anerkendelse.
Foruden sin kraftfulde og alsidige stemme er Cæcilie Nordby kendt som en fantastisk entertainer. Hun er fuld af personlige anekdoter og humor og har en varm tilstedeværelse. Det gør hendes koncerter både underholdende og vedkommende.
Med sig på guitar har hun svenske Ulf Wakenius, der i 10 år medvirkede i Oscar Peterson Quartet fra 1997, ligesom han har spillet med Ray Brown Trio. På bas har hun Lars Danielsson, der slet og ret er anerkendt som en af verdens bedste jazzbassister - og tillige er hendes partner gennem mange år. Endelig på trommer er svenske Magnus Öström, der blev verdenskendt som 1/3 af legendariske Esbjörn Svensson Trio.

Cæcilie Norby's Christmas concerts in Montmartre have been a tradition for many years. This year she is back again with her star team, consisting of some of the world's best musicians.
She is considered one of the most distinctive and groundbreaking vocalists on the international scene and was released for many years on the renowned American record label Blue Note, and she has a large audience in Japan. Internationally, she has performed with stars such as Curtis Stigers, NHØP, Ray Brown, Al Foster, Peter Erskine, Billy Hart, Dianne Reeves, Michael Brecker, Kurt Elling and John Scofield as well as numerous big bands.
Cæcilie Nordby really had her breakthrough in the mid-80s in the jazz/rock group Frontline and the pop group OneTwo. Since then, it was soul and jazz music that she has gained fame and recognition.
In addition to her powerful and versatile voice, Cæcilie Nordby is known as a fantastic entertainer. She is full of personal anecdotes and humor, and has a warm presence. This makes her concerts both entertaining and relevant.
