Hendes swing og charme tager verden med storm
Den kun 39-årige amerikanske sanger og pianist Champian Fulton tager publikum med storm over hele verden.
“Hun er en af de mest talefulde jazz-vokalister i sin generation", skriver jazz-anmelderen Mark Stryker i Detroit Free Press om Champian Fulton.
Siden hun som kun 10-årig optrådte til jazzlegenden og familievennen Clark Terry's 75 års fødselsdag, er hun blevet modtaget med begejstring på den internationale jazzscene.
Som datter af jazz-trompetisten Stephen Fulton blev hun fra en ung alder eksponeret for den swingende amerikanske jazz-skat.
Blandt hendes store inspirationskilder er musikere som Bud Powell, Red Garland og Errol Garner samt vokalisterne Sarah Vaughan og Dinah Washington.
Fulton mestrer begge kunstformer til perfektion, og med respekt for traditionen in mente, har hun altid sit eget, unikke twist på fortolkninger af klassiske jazz standarder.
Gennem de sidste 20 år har hun udgivet 18 albums som leader, og turneret rundt i verden og spillet med legender som Nicholas Payton, Buster Williams, Jimmy Cobb og Louis Hayes.
Med sig på Montmartre, under Copenhagen Jazz Festival har hun de to svenske topmusikere Klas Lindquist (alt sax) og Hans Backenroth (bas), samt den garvede danske trommeslager Kristian Leth.

The 39-year-old American singer and pianist Campian Fulton is taking audiences by storm all over the world.

Since performing at the 75th birthday of jazz legend and family friend Clark Terry at the age of 10, she has been enthusiastically received on the international jazz scene.
As the daughter of jazz trumpeter Stephen Fulton, she was exposed to the swinging American jazz treasure from a young age.
Among her great sources of inspiration are musicians such as Bud Powell, Red Garland and Errol Garner as well as vocalists Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington.
Fulton masters both art forms to perfection, and with respect for tradition in mind, she always has her own, unique twist on interpretations of classic jazz standards.
Over the past 20 years, she has released 18 albums as a leader, and has toured around the world and played with legends such as Nicholas Payton, Buster Williams, Jimmy Cobb and Louis Hayes.
With her on Montmartre, during Copenhagen Jazz Festival she has the two top Swedish musicians Klas Lindquist (alto sax) and Hans Backenroth (bass), as well as the seasoned Danish drummer Kristian Leth.
