Veteranen Jesper Zeuthen er én af dansk jazz mest distinkte og kompromisløse altsaxofonister.
Han er en saxofonist med sin helt egen klang og tone, og altid på jagt efter et personligt udtryk i musikken.
Jesper Zeuthen kom frem i slutningen af 1960’erne, og har først og fremmest været at finde på den mere grænsesøgende og eksperimenterende del af scenen, blandt andet i Blue Sun, New Jungle Orchestra, Zeuthen – Friis – Mazur, Jesper Zeuthen Trio og i de senere år i samarbejder med skrappe yngre musikere, hvor hans dybt personlige tilgang til musikken har været en eftertragtet vare.
Jesper Zeuthens Empty Pocket Trio er hans seneste gruppe, aktuell med pladen GNIST, der blev udgivet i januar 2025 på ILK.

Veteran Jesper Zeuthen is one of Danish jazz's most distinct and uncompromising alto saxophonists.
He is a saxophonist with his own unique sound and tone, and always in search of a personal expression in music.
Jesper Zeuthen emerged in the late 1960s, and has primarily been found on the more boundary-pushing and experimental side of the scene, including in Blue Sun, New Jungle Orchestra, Zeuthen – Friis – Mazur, Jesper Zeuthen Trio and in recent years in collaborations with tough younger musicians, where his deeply personal approach to music has been a sought-after commodity.
Jesper Zeuthen's Empty Pocket Trio is his latest group, currently with the album GNIST, which was released in January 2025 on ILK.
NOTE: There is both sitting and standing spaces at our Wednesday concerts and jam sessions, so please arrive early if you wish to sit.
For our Wednesday series "Montmartre Wednesdays", young people under 26 get in at half price. The same applies if you have a valid student card, as well as for members of DMF and the Danish Artists' Association.
