Oilly Wallace Quintet

🇬🇧 ENGLISH:

Saxophonist Oilly Wallace can rightly be called one of the most prominent young Danish jazz musicians. At the age of 18, he appeared on Norwegian drummer Snorres Kirk's album "Europa", and has not looked back since. It has been a great success - and for good reason.

11 years later, he has become a prominent figure on the Danish music scene, and in addition to having played with many of the greatest on the Danish jazz scene, he has also gained great popularity among many Danish pop musicians. He is, for example, the first choice of pop stars such as Andreas Odbjerg and Emma Sehested Høeg. It is not uncommon to see him in the Royal Arena or at the largest Danish festivals, because he is both supremely talented and versatile.

This evening, original compositions are on the program when the Oilly Wallace Quintet takes the stage at Montmartre. As he himself says, they play "Beach-boy inspired 70's singer/songwriter music with a twist of Brazil". There will also be tracks from his latest, critically acclaimed album "Sugar Baby Butterfly".

In addition to the multi-instrumentalist himself, the quintet consists of Johannes Wamberg (guitar), Rasmus Sørensen (piano), Ida Duelund (bass) and Rasmus Juncker (drums).
